Denver Nuggets star point guard Jamal Murray will not have to worry about his availability in Game 3 of their first-round series against the Minnesota Timberwolves, as the NBA decided not to slap him with a suspension over his dangerous action in Game 2. However, he will have a lighter pocket, with the league fining him $100,000. Murray threw a heat pack onto the playing court in Game 2 and escaped the whistles at the time of the game's officials, but he's not getting away from the NBA.

Here's the NBA's official announcement on Murray's fine:

"Denver Nuggets guard Jamal Murray has been fined $100,000 for throwing multiple objects in the direction of a game official during live play, it was announced today by Joe Dumars, Executive Vice President, Head of Basketball Operations. Murray's actions took place during the Nuggets' 106-80 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves in Game 2 of their conference semifinals playoff series on May 6 at Ball Arena."

Even though Murray is earning $33.8 million in the 2023-24 NBA season, $100,000 is still a huge sum.

So, apart from the Nuggets being down 2-0 in the Timberwolves series, Murray will also have that massive fine to feel frustrated about.
