Nikola Jokic Is Also Taking Heat After Nuggets Loss To Timberwolves

The reigning NBA champions, the Denver Nuggets, are at risk of making an early playoff exit as they find themselves down 2-0 against the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Anthony Edwards and company have been red hot, and now move to 6-0 in these playoffs. Minnesota was the best defensive team in the NBA this season and have continued to show their dominance against Nikola Jokic and the Nuggets.

Jokic did all he could, but it wasn't enough in either Game 1 or 2. On Monday, the two-time league MVP recorded 16 points, 16 rebounds and 8 assists while shooting 5 of 13 from the field in a 106-80 loss.

Truthfully, it was Jamal Murray who was the main problem , shooting 3 for 18, scoring only 8 points and causing issues by throwing a heating pad into the field of play.

Meanwhile, Jokic almost recorded a triple-double. Not a bad stat-line by any means. But consider this – if LeBron James recorded only 16 points on 13 shots in a blowout playoff loss, fans would be all over him.

After the loss, some fans gave Jokic the LeBron treatment, roasting the superstar for not getting it done and finding he and his team in a deep hole.

"Anthony Edwards got MVP chants… On the road… In Nikola Jokic’s own building. SENSATIONAL," wrote one fan.

"Jokić said this after Nuggets took the series lead over Lakers… They are now down 0-2 vs. Wolves," added Bleacher Report.
