Cinco de Mayo is a vibrant celebration of Mexican culture and heritage, and what better way to celebrate in Denver than by indulging in some of the city's best tacos?

Throughout March, The Denver Gazette scoured the city to find the best taco in Denver, selecting 32 restaurants to compete in our 2024 Taco Tournament, selecting participants based on reviews and community reputation. After more than a month of hard-fought competition, one restaurant emerged victorious as Centennial favorites Venalonzo’s were crowned for serving the best taco in Denver.

While the competition may be over, Cinco De Mayo offers a prime opportunity to visit some of our favorites. If you’re looking for a delicious bite this Fifth of May, check out these five must-try taco spots.
