DENVER ( KDVR ) — Denver’s weather has seen lots of rain this month, which has made for one of the wettest Aprils since the National Weather Service began keeping records in 1872.

It was a soggy weekend for much of Colorado as a wintry mix of snow and rain caused some road closures in the mountains and caused roads in the Denver metro area to flood .

The storm brought thunder, lightning, hail, snow and rain, but it was hardly noticeable on Sunday when there was plenty of sunshine and the skies were mostly clear.

With the pleasant weather on Sunday, it might be hard to believe that Denver got more than a month’s worth of precipitation over the last couple of days.

Here are the top 10 precipitation reports from this weekend, according to the NWS:

    1. Elizabeth : 2.75 inches
    2. Castle Pines : 2.72 inches
    3. Littleton: 2.67 inches
    4. Ken Caryl : 2.6 inches
    5. Lakewood : 2.58 inches
    6. Nederland : 2.5 inches
    7. Strasburg : 2.5 inches
    8. Boulder : 2.49 inches
    9. Denver : 2.38 inches
    10. Lyons : 2.36 inches

According to NWS, Denver typically gets a total of about 1.68 inches of precipitation over April.
