After offering sustainable fine dining in Delray Beach for more than three years, Lionfish Modern Coastal Cuisine has closed its doors at 307 E Atlantic Ave . The space on Atlantic Avenue will not sit empty for long, however: according to recent coverage by the South Florida Sun-Sentinel , Lionfish will soon be replaced by the popular and highly photogenic celeb favorite Sugar Factory American Brasserie .

In fact, Lionfish owner Craig Menin told the Sun-Sentinel that Sugar Factory can be expected to open in the Lionfish location “within 60 to 90 days.”

Menin owned the restaurant in partnership with Clique Hospitality founder Andy Massi (the West-Coast originator of the Lionfish brand), until the latter sold his stake, the Sun-Sentinel coverage reports.

Sugar Factory already has a fan base in South Florida , where the brand has a location at 1575 Alton Road in Miami Beach . The eclectic menu in Miami Beach features a prodigious variety of choices, from sandwiches like Linda’s French Toast Monte Cristo to Monster Burgers like the Flaming Hot Cheetos Burger, to selections of quesadillas, tacos, fajitas, pizzas, pastas, and more. Entrees include Lomo Saltado ( Beef tenderloin, sauteed with red onion, tomatoes, aji Amarillo, fries, soy sauce, served with rice ), Hot Honey Chicken & Waffles, Pan Roasted Salmon, and a 12-oz. Rib-Eye.

And all of this leads into what is arguably the main event: desserts. These include a mad collection of Old Fashioned Milkshakes, Insane Milkshakes like the Caramel Sugar Daddy Cheesecake ( Vanilla ice cream blended with cheesecake pieces and caramel sauce topped with whipped cream, a slice of NY style cheesecake, Sugar Daddy candy, a rainbow lollipop, and served in a chocolate covered mug with crushed graham crackers ), Old Fashioned Sundaes, and much more.

“As Sugar Factory continues to redefine the dining and entertainment landscape, we are excited to announce our newest location on Atlantic Avenue in Delray,” said Bonnie Taylor, spokeperson for Sugar Factory. “Known for its vibrant atmosphere and culinary playground, Delray attracts a blend of locals and tourists seeking exceptional experiences—a perfect match for the Sugar Factory brand. Expanding into Delray signifies our commitment to meeting the demand for unique dining destinations in Florida’s most dynamic hubs. We are eager to introduce our signature blend of over the top dining, sweet treats, comfort favorites mixed with celebrity allure to the heart of Delray, inviting all to indulge in the Sugar Factory experience.”
