Albany Man Arrested for Fatal Hit-and-Run at Plattsburgh Truckstop
On December 1, 2023, 38-year-old Thomas E. Lance from Albany, NY, was arrested by State Police. He faces additional charges related to a death in Plattsburgh. Lance was charged with murder, manslaughter, grand larceny, and possession of stolen property in the Clinton County Court. After his court appearance, he was sent to Clinton County Jail without bail. His next court date is January 3.

ITHACA — An Upstate New York cop who survived a shooting on the job more than a decade ago has been named Ithaca’s new police chief. The City of Ithaca announced Monday that Thomas Kelly, a lieutenant in the Schenectady Police Department, will take over as chief of the Ithaca Police Department on Dec. 18.
