Scattered showers continue through the morning
PEORIA (25News Now) - It was a noisy night for some across Central Illinois with a severe thunderstorm passing through portions of Tazewell, Peoria and McLean Counties with several reports of hail up to an inch in diameter. Scattered showers and a stray storm or two will continue through the morning commute into the mid morning before coming to an end. We will see some clearing for the second half of the day as temperatures return to the upper 50′s. and lower 60′s A cold front will pass through the region tonight, bringing a bit of a “cooldown” for Friday and Saturday with highs in the 40′s. We will quickly warm back up by Sunday as highs return to the 60′s.

EAST PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) — The East Peoria Fire Department announced on its Facebook page Friday that Fire Station 2 is officially in service.
