Lewis County altercation results in charges filed against local man, deputies say
NEW BREMEN- A local man is accused of violating a court order, among other charges, following complaints of a fight over the weekend in Lewis County, authorities say. Daniel P. Monnat, 28, of Croghan, NY was arrested on Sunday by the Lewis County Sheriff’s Office. He is formally charged with one felony count of criminal contempt in the first-degree, one misdemeanor count of criminal mischief in the fourth-degree and one violation of harassment in the second-degree.
Croghan Man Charged with Criminal Contempt for Violating a Stay Away Order of Protection
TOWN OF DIANA-A 28 year old Croghan man is accused of violating a "stay away" order of protection issued by the Town of Watson Court. Lewis County Sheriff’s Deputies said that after Daniel Monnat made bail on a separate criminal contempt charge, he reportedly went to the residence of and sent several text messages to the protected party. Monnat was arraigned in the Town of Diana Court on November 27th and charged with a Class A misdemeanor charge of Criminal Contempt in the 2nd Degree and a warrant was also issued by Lewis County Probation. Monnat was released on his own recognizance on both the Criminal Contempt charge and the probation warrant.
Carthage Man is Charged with D.W.I. in the Town of Diana
TOWN OF DIANA-A 27-year-old Carthage man is accused of D.W.I. following a vehicle stop in the Town of Diana on Saturday afternoon. New York State Police from the Carthage Barracks charged Justin W. Schall with one count each of Operating a Motor Vehicle with a Blood Alcohol Content of .08 of 1% or greater-First Offense and Driving While Intoxicated-First Offense. Shall was released to a third party and will answer the charges in the Town of Diana Court later. The incident was listed as “pending investigation” as of press time.
NYSP: Vehicle larceny investigation in Lewis County results in felony charge lodged against Fulton man
LEWIS- Police say a vehicle larceny investigation from earlier this spring in Lewis County has resulted in the arrest of a person from Oswego County. James C. Fuller, 39, of Fulton, NY was arrested Thursday morning by the New York State Police (Lowville). Fuller is formally charged with one felony count of criminal possession of stolen property in the second-degree (property value exceeding $50,000).
Carthage Man Accused of Aggravated Unlicensed Operation
VILLAGE OF CARTHAGE-A 27 year old Carthage man was arrested for allegedly driving with a suspended or revoked license in the Village of Carthage on Friday afternoon. New York State Police from the Carthage Barracks charged Robert E. Marion with one count of Aggravated Unlicensed operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 3rd Degree, a Class U misdemeanor. Marion was issued an appearance ticket and will answer the charge in the Village of Carthage Court at a later date.
