EF-1 tornado touched down in Lincoln County during outbreak, NWS says
NASHVILLE, Tenn. (WSMV) – A tornado has been confirmed to have touched down in the Middle Tennessee area during the May 8 outbreak. The National Weather Service says an EF-1 tornado with 105 mile per hour winds touched down northeast of Ardmore and traveled more than six miles, ending southwest of Fayetteville, according to the NWS. Its path width was 1.5 times the size of a football field.
