DPD: Multi-vehicle crash involving school bus in Decatur

DECATUR, Ala. (WHNT) – A school bus was involved in a multi-vehicle crash in Decatur on Tuesday.

According to the Decatur Police Department, around 8 vehicles were involved in the crash including the school bus. No students were on the bus at the time of the crash.

A car that had a stuck throttle sideswiped other vehicles before crashing into the back of the bus near U.S. 31 and Stratford Road around 3:40 p.m.

Decatur City Schools says that there were no injuries during the incident.

The bus involved will be out of service until repairs can be made.

Officers are still on the scene at this time. However, the scene should be clear shortly.
