    Enjoy the fiesta! Come celebrate Cinco de Mayo at these events across Daytona, Flagler

    Mexican food and margaritas, tacos and tequila ― what's not to like about Cinco de Mayo , the day we celebrate all things South of the Border?

    If you're looking for a fiesta near you, fortunately there is no shortage of events going on across Flagler and Volusia counties both Saturday and Sunday.

    Daytona Beach

    Tia Cori's Tacos, 214 N. Beach St. The 4th Annual Cinco de Mayo block party will take over downtown on Saturday, May 4, from 2-10 p.m. The street party is free and open to the public. Beach Street will be closed to traffic from Bay Street to 3rd Avenue. A family-friendly event, the street party will feature a stage with live music by Are Friends Electric, DJ Jukebox Bully and Mr. Martini Band. In addition to Tia Cori's, food trucks will serve Mexican food specials and festival food. Adult libations, south-of-the-border beers, and several flavors of margaritas will be available for purchase.

    In addition to traditional food and beverages, several fun contests are scheduled, including a "Mexi-Mutt" costume contest, a hot sauce contest and a fiesta wear contest will also be held.

    Flagler Beach

    Margarita Island Mexican Kitchen and Bar, 422 Beach Village Drive. On Sunday, May 5 it's a fiesta all day long to mark the holiday with $5 margaritas, free shots, giveaways and other surprises, plus their traditional Mexican flavors.

    Hidden Treasure Raw Bar & Grill, 820 Moody Lane. Cinco de Mayo is in full effect at this tiki bar overlooking the Intracoastal Waterway. Specials including $3 Coronas, $4 tacos (chicken, shrimp or fish) and $5 top-shelf margaritas, plus live music.

    Ormond Beach

    Monarca Mexican Cuisine and Tequila Bar, 1185 W. Granada Blvd., Unit 5 . Join Monarca for Cinco de Mayo with drink specials on margaritas, bottled Corona, tequila shots, and their house specialty "Sangarita, a fusion of margarita and sangria flavors. A DJ and other fiesta activities round out the offerings.

    Port Orange

    Dunes Brewing, 59 Dunlawton Ave., Unit 102. Starting at 6 p.m. on Sunday, May 5, the craft brewery will host live lucha libre Mexican-style wrestling; taco and churro food trucks; a mariachi band; DJ; face painting and more. From 11 a.m. to 8 p.m., Dunes will also have a release party of Brochacho, its Mexican lager .

    Dahlia Mexican Kitchen, 1078 Dunlawton Ave. in Port Orange and 1808 W. International Speedway Blvd. Unit 405, for the Daytona Beach location. Both Saturday, May 4 and Sunday, May 5 from 5 p.m.-close, Dahlia celebrates Cinco de Mayo with drink specials ($3 house margaritas; $10 top-shelf margaritas; $3 bottled beers; and $4 shots), live music, raffles and giveaways.

    New Smyrna Beach

    La Terraza and Casey's bar, 1414 S. Atlantic Ave. The two businesses that share one roof will join together for New Smyrna’s Cinco De Mayo Fiesta on Sunday, May 5 starting at 12 p.m. Enjoy delicious food, refreshing drinks, live DJs and bands, entertainment, carnival games and fun activities for all ages. Free event ― no cover.

    New Smyrna Beach Taco Challenge, runs the length of Flagler Avenue. Celebrate Cinco de Mayo with NSB's annual Taco Challenge on Sunday, May 5th from 1-5 p.m. Participants can use their tasting passports to visit the host sites and taste mini tacos prepared in multiple different ways. Tasting passports and maps may be picked up at the corner of South Cooper Street and Flagler Avenue on the day of the event. Passports will be for sale on the day of the event starting at 12:30 p.m. but pre-ordering online is recommended. Tickets for the Taco Challenge, at $20 per person, may be purchased online . A Tequila Walk will also be held from 1-5 p.m. Tickets will be available on site at the Flagler Avenue and South Cooper intersection.
