Man Attacks Woman with Hatchet Attack Following Parking Lot Crash

Davie, FL - A Davie restaurant owner is being hailed as a hero after intervening in a violent domestic dispute that erupted in a parking lot on Tuesday afternoon.

The incident began with a car crash at the Griffin Plaza shopping center on Griffin Road.

According to witnesses, one driver emerged from their vehicle wielding a hatchet and threatened the other driver, who fled towards the nearby Fat Stork restaurant.

The restaurant owner, who wished to remain anonymous, witnessed the woman running for help and ushered her inside along with another person.

The attacker, however, pursued them with the hatchet.

"He went for my head, but I dodged him and he hit my hand instead," recounted the brave owner.

Bystanders, including one who claimed to have used a taser, intervened to distract the attacker.

This allowed the restaurant owner to subdue the man.

The woman and those who assisted her sustained only minor injuries.

Davie police responded to the scene and apprehended the attacker.

The identities of those involved haven't been released as the investigation continues.
