Driver suspected of DUI faces charges in rollover crash

LINCOLN COUNTY, Wash. — A Kennewick man is facing vehicular assault charges for allegedly driving under the influence causing a crash near Davenport Friday night.

According to Washington State Patrol, 63-year-old Dean Swanson was driving eastbound on State Route 2 about eight miles west of Davenport around 9 p.m.

WSP says Swanson crossed the center line and hit another vehicle causing Swanson's vehicle to roll and land on its roof.

The two occupants in the other vehicle, an 18-year-old woman and a 13-year-old girl, were taken to Lincoln Hospital. The extent of their injuries is unknown.

Swanson was taken Sacred Heart. WSP suspects drugs and/or alcohol were factors in this crash and Swanson faces two charges of vehicular assault.
