The Salvation Army of Danville is announcing its upcoming 2024 Annual Dinner, scheduled to take place on May 13 at 6:00 p.m. The event will be held at The Salvation Army facility, located at 519 S. 4th St. in Danville.
The Annual Dinner serves as a platform to celebrate the support of our community, honor our generous donors, supporters, and volunteers, and raise essential funds for our Youth Outreach and Educational Summer activities and services. These initiatives include providing sponsorships for local children to attend Camp Paradise Valley, The Salvation Army’s weeklong summer camp on the shores of Dale Hollow Lake. It will also provide scholarships for underprivileged families to Summer Day Camp at The Salvation Army of Danville, and organize back-to-school readiness activities and supplies.
Admission to the dinner is free and open to the public. Interested attendees are kindly requested to RSVP by May 8 by calling The Salvation Army at (859) 236-4473.
Attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy a shared meal, listen to inspiring stories from our youth, and hear from our esteemed keynote speaker, Meteorologist Bill Meck from LEX18. The evening will also feature a silent auction, with all proceeds directly contributing to our Youth Outreach and Educational programming. Our goal for this dinner is to raise $25,000 to cover the expenses of our summer youth activities.
The Salvation Army of Danville invites community members and businesses to consider becoming Table Sponsors for this meaningful event. Table Sponsors will have the chance to host two guests at their table, showcase promotional materials, banners, and signs at designated areas around the venue. A table sponsorship is available for $500.
