CUSTER - The Mason County Eastern Cardinals raced out to a 19-0 lead after one quarter of play on their way to a decisive 52-9 win over visiting Big Rapids Crossroads on Wednesday evening. MANISTEE, MI - This year’s Victorian Sleighbell Parade slayed with horse-drawn Christmas trees, new inflatables and appearances by Santa Claus and Miss Michigan. Teams of horses pulled two upright Christmas trees on sleighs down the parade route. The first was around 15 feet tall and pulled by two large horses. The second, the parade finale, was about 35 feet tall - taller than surrounding buildings - and pulled by four horses.
