    After 14 years of faithful service, the mayor of Cuero announces her retirement

    Cuero mayor Sara Post - Meyer retiring

    CUERO, Texas - Sara Post - Meyer will officially retires Monday May 13th. Post - Meyer is proud to have served the city of Cuero during many of the city's growth periods, which post - Meyer said helped to improve the quality of life in the city she loves.

    "The income that the city of Cuero received from sales tax, particularly during the Eagle Ford Shale boom, was spent very wisely. We were able to improve city buildings. We have now a new city hall, we have improved the city library. We are now a new facility for our police department, and we have also built a new warehouse, which is better and we moved it out of the park," said Post - Meyer.

    Cuero city council member Emil Garza will take over the mayors position once Sara Post-Meyer steps down.
