CROTON-ON-HUDSON, N.Y. – Project upgrades to a maintenance and operations hub at Croton-on-Hudson in New York have finished. The site was inherited by Metro-North in 1983, and at the time, the site’s ability to function as a maintenance site was inadequate. Starting in 2001, the project utilized state and federal funding to make upgrades. These include equipping the facility with “a dozen car-hoists, four pedestal tracks, and multiple door level and roof level platforms to assist in the preventive maintenance.” According to the release, the second floor was designed to create a better and more streamlined distribution process through the integration of a service corridor between three buildings.
