SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CALIF. (KION-TV)- Santa Cruz CHP is investigating a crash that left one person with major injuries in Santa Cruz County Wednesday morning. According to officials, officers responded to a car striking a pedestrian at around 4:50 a.m. just outside of Watsonville. At the time of the incident, a 73-year-old man from Aptos was driving a white Tesla Model Y on Airport Boulevard, east of Pajaro Lane. At the same time, the victim, a 63 year old man from Watsonville, was walking on Airport Boulevard, east of the Tesla.

WATSONVILLE, CALIF. (KION-TV)- Watsonville Police arrested a pair of suspects who tried stealing goods from a second-hand store. On Wednesday, officers responded to a call of a burglary happening on the 500 block of Main Street. The suspects, 26-year-old Robert Lee Buckman and 32-year-old Jose Alfredo Vallejo, tried leaving through the back door they forced open before officers could catch them, but officers quickly surrounded the store and arrested them.
