The Iowa and Wisconsin DOTs have announced that the center span of the new Iowa 9 / WIS 82 Mississippi River Bridge will now be installed on Friday (06.12); pushing it back from Thursday (06.11) due to weather concerns. La Crosse city committee favors unlimited pedi-cab hours, and endorses Copper Rocks plan for K-Mart lot
The city of La Crosse is one step closer to lifting time restrictions on when a pedi-cab can operate. Under an ordinance change approved by the judiciary committee Tuesday night, a bicycle-style cab would not be limited to the hours of 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. That proposal will go to the full city council for a vote later this month. The hour change would have no effect on the bigger pedal-cars, such as the pub trolley, that operate downtown.
