Construction closes Herrick Street Bridge in Rensselaer
The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) confirmed the temporary closure of the Herrick Street Bridge near the Albany–Rensselaer Amtrak station, also known as the Joseph L. Bruno Rail Station. The bridge will be closed to traffic from October 21 through October 24.

Months-long lane closures planned for Route 7 in Colonie
Drivers who travel along State Route 7, also known as Troy-Schenectady Road, during the day should budget extra time beginning Thursday. The New York State Department of Transportation (NYSDOT) has announced lane closures will be in effect for Route 7 eastbound between Kennette Road and Wade Road in Colonie.

Claverack residents push for Route 9H safety improvements as study continues
Back in April, four people were killed in a head-on crash on Route 9H near Van Wyck Lane in Claverack. Investigators say a northbound Toyota Prius crossed the center line and hit a southbound Toyota Crown. Since then, residents have been pushing for safety improvements.
