SYRACUSE, N.Y. - Looking back at February in CNY, it was unusually warm and there was a significant lack of snow until the very last day. However, our season snowfall total so far in Syracuse is still lacking. We set records in February and could set more for this winter and season overall!
Three Syracuse residents charged with dealing meth and fentanyl
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) — Three Syracuse residents were indicted and charged with distributing and conspiring to distribute and possess methamphetamine and fentanyl. Devon Drake, 33, Lacey Fontaine, 33, and Henry Townsend, 28, all face these charges. Drake is also charged with distributing methamphetamine and fentanyl within 1,000 feet of an elementary school.

Onondaga County Mar 01 Weekly Crime Report: 898 Incidents and 33 Crime Stories. During the last week, Onondaga County has reported a total of 898 crime cases. The most common crime was Domestic Related with 211 incidents, accounting for approximately 23.5% of the total crimes. This was followed by Assault and Theft cases, with 146 and 127 incidents respectively. Other forms of crime such as Burglary, Argument, and Suspicious Situation also contributed significantly to the total crime count, with 103, 53, and 44 incidents respectively. Lesser reported crimes included Vandalism with 37 incidents, Trespass with 24, and Robbery with 14. The least reported crimes were Shooting, Disturbance, and Arrest, each with less than 15 incidents. The high number of Domestic Related cases and Assaults highlight a concerning trend of violence within the community. The local authorities need to address this issue promptly, ensuring the safety and security of the residents.
