The academy, supported by Janssen Sports, is designed to enhance leadership skills in student athletes. GRAND JUNCTION, Colo. (KREX) — The Colorado Mesa men’s and women’s basketball teams cruised past the Regis Rangers in their second RMAC matchups of the season. The CMU women’s team started hot leading Regis 44-29 at halftime. Josee Steadman lead the way for the Mavs with 16 points on 100 percent shooting from the field at the break. Regis climbed back in the 4th quarter behind seven three-pointers as a team to narrow the margin of victory to five points, but it wasn’t enough as CMU get the 87-82 victory.
