DENVER — The Denver Police Department is investigating multiple break-ins that were caught on home surveillance cameras, possibly involving the same suspect. As of now, no arrests have been made. Police officers shot and wounded a man Monday afternoon outside of a Denver apartment complex on Oneida Street.

Two people are dead and a child was injured after a shooting in the southwestern part of the Denver metro area overnight. Jefferson County deputies responded to a home on the 4300 block of South Holland Way early Monday morning when a family member called saying a father was shooting at a mother at a home. Three children who were present were able to escape, but the man fired at the children and at deputies. A girl was shot in the leg but is expected to recover. Neighbors were told to shelter in place for a time, and when a SWAT team went in they found a dead woman and they found the 54-year-old suspect dead from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The suspect was identified as James Aragon.The children are now with family members.

A 40-year-old man was stabbed to death in Aurora Sunday night and now a 13-year-old boy is in custody and charged with the man's murder. Police are characterizing it as a "family dispute."Aurora police say the stabbing happened around 9 p.m. in the 16000 block of East Easter Circle near South Chambers Way and South Parker Road. The area appears to be in the Acadia at Cornerstar Apartment complex.Aurora police say when its officers arrived, they found the man unresponsive in an entryway of one of the apartment buildings with multiple stab wounds to the torso. He was taken to the hospital where he later died.He was later identified as Dominic Ramon Robinson.CBS News Colorado reached out to the coroner's office but did not immediately hear back.Police say the suspect remained on the scene, where he was arrested. Firefighters with the Franktown Fire Department responded to a location near Highway 83 and Russellville Road just before 4 a.m. after a smoke alarm went off in a horse barn.
