Ohio State has multiple running back targets that they like in the class of 2025 and they may be keying in on one commitment very soon.

Isaiah West, a three-star player from Pennsylvania, visited the Buckeyes this past weekend. Following his visit, West called off his verbal pledge to go play at Kentucky in the SEC.

The Buckeyes are after four-star running backs Jordon Davison and Bo Jackson as well. Ohio State will take at least two backs this recruiting cycle and West just may be their start.

West plays at St. Joseph’s Prep in Philadelphia, the same school where former Buckeyes’ Marvin Harrison Jr. and Kyle McCord played. The 247 Sports Composite has him as the No. 503 ranked player, which we will see improve surely following a commitment.

A string running back at 5-foot-11 and 208 pounds, West is a player who grinds out tough yards and can play all three downs. Kentucky and Ohio State have had plenty of recruiting battles in the past with Ohio-based prospects, but this one comes with an out-of-state guy.

Following the successful visit this past weekend, it may not be long before the Buckeyes have their first running back commit for the class of 2025.
