COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) — The members of Storm Team 4 received a special honor, as for the 10th year in a row WeatheRate named NBC4’s meteorologists the “Most Accurate.”

The station’s team was joined Friday afternoon by City Council Member Emmanuel Remy to celebrate this amazing honor.

“We have created this resolution for you on behalf of Columbus City Council and so we thank you for the work that you’ve done and appreciate it,” Remy told NBC4 Chief Meteorologist Dave Mazza and Meteorologist Ben Gelber.

WeatheRate President Bruce Fixman was also in the station to award Storm Team 4 with a trophy for the accomplishment. The entire NBC4 family was able to be there to celebrate each other.

Our accuracy has allowed our team to keep those who call central Ohio home safe when severe weather moves in.

“We are very happy, I mean, obviously the award is great, but it’s better I think for the viewer at home knowing about the accuracy of the forecast they’re getting, day in and day out, whether be in the morning, afternoon or evening,” Mazza said about receiving the honor.
