According to a recently filed permit, iconic coffee chain Starbucks looks to be making plans to open a new location at 1014 N High St, in the former home of Julep. As detailed in the permit filing, the work will include walls, new fixtures, furniture and equipment, along with electrical and HVAC work and construction of accessible restrooms. Per language in the permit, the total scope of work is estimated to be $800,000.

The Seattle based coffee chain serves drip coffee, espresso drinks, teas and blended drinks known as frappuccinos, as well as refreshers, which are lemonades and frozen beverages in a number of flavors. The menu can vary based on season and location, but most Starbucks stores serve breakfast and lunch options, such as egg bites, bagels and sandwiches.

What Now Columbus reached out to the chain to learn when the new location will open, the square footage of the space and how many guests can be seated in the forthcoming location, but a request for comment wasn’t immediately returned.
