Several accidents snarled traffic around Columbus during Tuesday’s morning commute.

According to a map maintained by the Ohio Department of Transportation, crashes caused road closures or slowdowns in at least four locations.

As of 9 a.m., the map showed the following closures and lane restrictions:

    • The ramp from Greenlawn Ave to Interstate 71 northbound was closed in both directions at about 9 a.m.
    • Access to the ramp from Interstate 71 southbound to Interstate 670 westbound was restricted due to a crash, and the ramp from Interstate 71 northbound to Interstate 670 eastbound was closed due to a crash.
    • A ramp from Interstate 71 northbound to Interstate 70 eastbound and Interstate 71 northbound was closed due to a collision.
    • A crash on State Route 315 northbound between West Town Street and West Broad Street restricted northbound traffic.

A Columbus police dispatcher could not provide an estimate of the number of crashes, saying “they’re all over the place.”
