An Area White Castle Files Permit to Make an Upgrade to Its Drive-Thru

A recently filed permit with the City of Columbus shows that one area White Castle is set to undergo some work to the eatery’s exterior. According to the permit filing, the burger chain located at 801 E 5th Ave will receive a new two piece drive-thru architectural canopy over the drive-thru on the right side of the building’s elevation.

It’s unclear when the work for this project will begin, or what the impact may be to customers at this location. What Now Columbus reached out to a representative with the company to learn if the drive-thru at the Fifth Avenue eatery will be closed while the new canopy is installed, but a request for comment wasn’t immediately returned.

Best known for serving burger sliders, White Castle offers a selection of sides and other slider sandwiches in addition to its flagship menu item. Some of those sides include crinkle cut fries, onion rings and mozzarella sticks, as well as chicken rings and chicken or fish sliders.
