Twelve years ago, Robert Makofsky was diagnosed with two different types of cancer. Makofsky says he then received treatment at Ohio State University’s James Cancer Center in Columbus, Ohio for 13 months.

After returning home to the Ohio Valley Makofsky was once again diagnosed with a third type of cancer and came up with the idea to sell his personal sketches to raise money for the James Cancer Center.

He says sketching has always been one of his favorite things to do and now he is putting them to use to help with cancer research.

”Well I’ve done a lot of sketching over the years. When I was a little boy, I loved to draw horses and I’d just start drawing and drawing and drawing. So after a while, I started putting all my sketches in frames and now I’m going to sell them for the cancer research center in Columbus, Ohio.”
