UPDATE: CPD investigating body found at Odis-Spencer Stadium

UPDATE 5/23/2024 3:14 p.m. — Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan is asking the community for assistance in identifying the body:

UPDATE 5/23/2024 2:58 p.m. — The Muscogee County Coroner’s office has released new information about the body found at Odis-Spencer Stadium.

Muscogee County Coroner Buddy Bryan told WRBL the body is an African American male, approximately in his mid 50s. There are no immediate signs of foul play, and the body is being sent for an autopsy.

At this time, Officials are unsure how the body was found, and say he appears to be homeless.

COLUMBUS, Ga. ( WRBL ) — The Columbus Police Department are investigating a body found at Odis-Spencer Stadium.

The body was located along the fence line at approximately 1:24 p.m.
