Spectacular Season Comes to End at World Series
COLUMBUS, Ga. – No. 10 Midland University, who entered the postseason as unranked and unknown to many in the country, wrapped up its most successful season in program history on Monday afternoon at the NAIA Softball College World Series. The Warriors, who knocked out a pair of teams to reach the final week of the season, fell to No. 1 Oregon Institute of Technology, 6-0. Early on, it was a defensive battle as Aliyah Rincon and the Owls’ Kacie Schmidt went back and forth. Midland sat the first seven batters of OIT down with Rincon picking up a pair of strikeouts. Schmidt allowed a walk in the 1st and struck out two through the first two innings.

COLUMBUS - The 2023 ABCA/Rawlings NCAA Division II All-Region Teams and Regional Players of the Year have been announced in all eight regions and Columbus State University baseball players Matthew McDade and Derek Wylie were named to the Southeast All-Region Second Team. The teams are voted on by members of the American Baseball Coaches Association and the process is led by the ABCA NCAA Div. II All-America Committee.

Jones Becomes D-III All-American in 400m
Jahari Jones raced one final time in 2023 and etched his name into the Berry record books. In a photo finish, the sophomore finished in fifth place in the 400m at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Pittsford, N.Y., achieving All-American status. In doing so, he becomes Berry's first NCAA D-III Outdoor Track & Field All-American.
