COLUMBIA, Mo. (KMIZ)

Jefferson City Medical Group in Fulton

Nurse practitioner Dwight Jones with the Jefferson City Medical Group in Fulton says at his location they are seeing most patients coming in with allergies and upper respiratory infections.

However, Jones says they are still seeing a few cases of influenza and strep throat.

Boone Health in Columbia

Dr. Robin Blount with Boone Health says they are seeing little activity from respiratory viruses.

Blount says their infection prevention staff is reporting a downward trend in COVID-19 cases along with no new variants and no new activity from other viruses.

MU Health Care facilities

MU Health Care says they are seeing a decrease in cases of several viruses.

Dr. Laura Morris with MU Health Care says all respiratory viruses appear to be tapering seasonally as expected.

But, Morris says some occasional cases of RSV and influenza still occur throughout the year.

Morris says those viruses typically circulate at very low levels from this time of the year through the early fall.

As far as COIVD-19, Morris says cases at MU facilities remain stable.
