Columbia woman charged in death of her infant daughter has bond reduced
A Columbia woman, charged with the death of her infant daughter, has her bond reduced. Lavosha Daniels, 31, is charged with abandonment of a corpse and endangering the welfare of a child. She had been held without bond since her arrest in 2022, and a judge denied previous motions to reduce her bond. But, on Monday, Judge Kevin Crane reduced her bond to $500,000. Daniels’ next court hearing is scheduled for August 28.

The CPOA says criminals in Columbia have become more emboldened, noting a suspect recently allegedly tried to rape women on the MKT trail in broad daylight.
