RPD encouraging use of ‘safe exchange zones’ with increase in recent robberies
RICHMOND, Va. (WWBT) -Richmond police are issuing a new safety alert, as there has been an increase in online exchanges going wrong in recent weeks. People use sites like Facebook Marketplace to buy or sell items but get robbed when they meet in person for the exchange. In some instances, the thief had a gun, so RPD is now encouraging people to use its ‘Safe Exchange Zones.’
School lunch prices going up in Chesterfield
CHESTERFIELD, Va. (WWBT) - Inflation continues to impact families and this time it’s hitting Chesterfield school division. The School Board unanimously agreed Tuesday to increase the price of school lunch for the 2024-25 school year by a quarter. The new prices are $3.25 for elementary students and $3.50 for middle and high school students.
