Washington — A federal judge Monday sentenced a DeWitt man who admitted entering the U.S. Capitol during the violent insurrection in 2021 to 90 days in prison. Albert Ciarpelli, 68, pleaded guilty in November, as part of a deal with federal prosecutors, to knowingly entering and remaining in a restricted building without authority. He initially faced two other charges, violent entry and disorderly conduct, which were later dropped.
