Double-crested cormorant rescued from Tidal Basin
WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — A double-crested cormorant was rescued from the Tidal Basin this week. The National Mall and Memorial Parks’ National Park Service (NPS) said the bird had hooks from a lure stick in both its feet and the line was caught on an outlet bridge.

New Route for D.C.'s Capital Pride Parade Set to Enhance Safety, Prepare for WorldPride 2025
Big changes are coming to the Capital Pride Parade this year, which is slated for May 31 through June 9, with the announcement of a new route that will bypass the Dupont neighborhood, traditionally known as D.C.'s LGBTQ+ heart.
