DOT projects to begin in summer
The North Carolina Department of Transportation has several projects that will begin in the summer that will impact Moore County. Below are the major projects:. N.C. 211 from U.S. 15-501 — Road widening is planned on N.C. 211 from U.S. 15-501 in Aberdeen to Mockingbird Hill Road in Raeford. It will expand the route to a four-lane divided road. Work is wrapping up to acquire right of way, clear roadsides and move dry utilities. The road work is scheduled for the fall and is estimated to take multiple years to complete as it involves 16 miles of roadway.
