Hot today, muggier air returns soon
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Rain chances increase for the second half of the week as the mugginess level also goes up. Still, the showers and storms will be scattered. Mostly sunny to partly cloudy Tuesday with more clouds possible south. It will be hot but not too muggy. Highs between 93 and 97 degrees in most places. Feels like temperatures will be in the mid to upper 90s, closer to 100 degrees south. Some good news though, there are no heat advisories for the area as heat indices will be closer to the actual air temperature. I can’t rule out a stray storm or two this afternoon but most look to stay dry for Saturday.

Scattered storms to close out the workweek
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - Friday is our best chance of rain we’ve had all week; that will also cut down on the heat (not the mugginess). However, we dry out over the weekend and most of us avoid rain. Partly cloudy to partly sunny Friday. We started off with...

Still very hot, just a little less muggy
COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - A weak front in the area is sending just enough dry air our way to bring down the mugginess level a touch for the middle of the week. It wont be significant nor will it last as a muggier feel returns later Thursday and especially Friday. Rain chances climb to end the workweek.
