New adult day care center opens in Dawson, GA
DAWSON – The Terrell County Chamber of Commerce welcomed S&S Adult Day Health to Dawson Wednesday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony. The facility will serve as a center for activities and meals for senior residents or residents with disabilities in Terrell and surrounding counties. The facility has various rooms – a game room, library and research room, and wellness room – and will offer catered breakfasts and lunches. A certified nurse will be present Monday through Friday and the center will be open from 8 a.m.-6 p.m..

COLUMBUS, Ga. (WTVM) - While there will be rain and some PM storms around Tuesday, dry weather remains in the forecast mid-week ahead of another late week storm system. Cloudy to start Tuesday with rain around. Morning rain will slowly push north and east, tapering down from southwest to northeast as the morning progresses. Some peeks of sun are in the forecast around midday Tuesday. The afternoon should be mostly dry. Highs in the upper 70s, maybe 80 degrees near Eufaula. Scattered pop up storms are anticipated starting late afternoon and early in the evening as the air starts to rise (warm) again. An isolated severe storm (producing wind and hail) is possible.
