Man arrested for hitting car with vacuum, throwing it through windshield

COALTON, WV (LOOTPRESS) – One man has been arrested after repeatedly hitting a car with a vacuum and then throwing it through the windshield.

According to the Randolph County Sheriff’s Office, on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, deputies responded to a domestic in progress call in the Coalton area.

51-year-old Timothy Burdette was found on scene and had caused damage to a Ford Fusion by using a Shop Vac style of vacuum cleaner and struck the vehicle several times.

He then threw the vacuum through the windshield.

Burdette was detained at the scene due to his aggression, and during the process of investigation and arrest was found to be in possession of marijuana as well.

Damage was estimated to be over $1,000.00, according to police.

Burdette was transported from the scene to the Tygart Valley Regional Jail to await arraignment for Destruction of Property and Possession of a controlled substance.

He is currently being held without bond.
