PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo. (KRDO) - A Pueblo County couple, Elizabeth Barns-Mcdaniel and her husband Justin Latka, are being charged with 23 counts of misdemeanor animal cruelty. Law enforcement vehicles targeted for gun theft in Canon City, police issue warning
CAÑON CITY, Colo. (KKTV) - Police in Cañon City are reporting they have experienced an increase in vehicle trespass complaints and guns being stolen. “The theft of these firearms like many of the other vehicle break-ins were reportedly from unlocked vehicles in most cases,” police wrote on social media. “In most cases, the firearms being left were an oversight or the owners were not certain if they were locked but, in those instances, there were no signs of forced entry.”

The second of two owners of a Colorado funeral home where officials say 190 bodies were improperly stored was released from the El Paso County Jail on Tuesday on a $100,000 bond.Carie Hallford and her husband Jon own Return to Nature Funeral Home in Penrose. They've been charged with 190 counts of abuse of a corpse and 70 other charges including theft, forgery and money laundering -- all felonies.
