Jazmine Powers Carr has resigned as girls’ basketball coach at Bob Jones High School. Carr’s Patriots were ranked No. 1 throughout the 2023-24 season. Bob Jones lost to four-time defending state champion Hoover 58-55 in the Northwest Regional finals. Bob Jones finished the season at 29-4. The Patriots’ loss to Hoover ended a 20-game winning streak.

Furman football's Jacob Johanning signs undrafted free agent deal with Las Vegas Raiders
Furman football offensive lineman Jacob Johanning has signed a free agent contract with the Las Vegas Raiders, the university confirmed Saturday evening. A product of Greenville’s St. Joseph’s Catholic School, Johanning was a two-time All-American. He helped the Paladins to a 10-3 record and Southern Conference championship last season, as well as a quarterfinal appearance in the FCS playoffs.
