Furman football offensive lineman Jacob Johanning has signed a free agent contract with the Las Vegas Raiders, the university confirmed Saturday evening.

A product of Greenville’s St. Joseph’s Catholic School, Johanning was a two-time All-American. He helped the Paladins to a 10-3 record and Southern Conference championship last season, as well as a quarterfinal appearance in the FCS playoffs.

A 6-foot-3, 290-pounder, Johanning was the recipient of the SoCon’s Jacobs Blocking Award in 2023, which is presented annually to the league’s top offensive lineman. He was a two-time first-team All-SoCon selection who made 39 starts during his career and was named to the conference all-academic honor roll four times.

Teammate and all-conference tight end Mason Pline signed a free agent contract on Saturday with the San Francisco 49ers.
