Hendersonville downtown Italian restaurant closes its doors for good
HENDERSONVILLE - A downtown Italian restaurant that has been open since 2020 has closed its doors for good, and the owner hasn't announced plans for opening a new location. Nora's Off Main, 121 W. Barnwell St., now sits vacant. It was owned by Chef Jonathan Lavoie, who named the restaurant after his daughter, Nora, in 2020 when she was 5 years old. The restaurant served New York-style pizzas and Italian dishes.

Greer man killed by machinery while working at Pickens County landfill site
A Greer man died Monday after he was run over while working at a Pickens County landfill, according to a Tuesday afternoon email from the Pickens County Coroner’s Office. According to the release, Pickens County dispatchers were told that Ronald Lewis McCarson, 49, had been “ran over by machinery” at the MRR Upstate Recycling and Transfer landfill site under construction in Liberty. Dispatchers were called to the site Monday morning at approximately 10 a.m.
First Alert Traffic: I-85 moving again after massive morning backup
GREENVILLE, S.C. (FOX Carolina) - Overnight construction caused massive traffic backups and major delays along I-85 in Greenville Thursday morning. The backup happened along the northbound side between Woodruff and Pelham Roads. At one point, all lanes were shutdown, but at least one lane appears to be open at this time.
