Legendary singer Cher will accept her induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year but says she is "going to have some words to say," likely regarding how long it has taken the international body of voters to give her her well-deserved flowers.

After finally being voted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame this year, it looks like Cher has decided to walk back her previous statement to Kelly Clarkson , when she told her that she wouldn't accept an invite from Rock Hall even "if they gave me a million dollars." Cher added, "I’m never going to change my mind. They can just you-know-what themselves."

Now that she's officially going to be inducted this year alongside Foreigner , Ozzy Osbourne , Mary J. Blige , A Tribe Called Quest , Kool & the Gang , Dave Matthews Band , and Peter Frampton she's changed her tune, but that doesn't mean she won't be sharing her thoughts on the matter.

During a recent red carpet interview at the Paley Center in L.A., Cher thanked her good friends David Geffen and John Sikes for pulling through for her, and told ET that although she was grateful for the honor she’s “going to have some words to say,” adding, “I’m going to accept it as me.”

Cher has managed to score number 1 records over the past seven decades, and told Kelly Clarkson previously, "I changed music forever with 'Believe.'" Cher added that she couldn't think of another artist who had accomplished the same over their career, other than The Rolling Stones , but said it "took four of them to be one of me."

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s 2024 ceremony will take place at the Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse in Cleveland, OH on Saturday, October 19 and will stream on Disney+ and Hulu following the premiere, along with a special broadcast on ABC. Set your alarms, Cher's gonna be dropping some bombs.
