Rashad McCants explains that LeBron watching the Cavs-Celtics Game 4 was a warning: "If you do not give me what I want, I will go"

A few days ago, Los Angeles Lakers superstar LeBron James was at courtside for Game 4 of the Celtics vs Cavaliers series in Cleveland. While that might have been an ordinary visit to his hometown and former team for King James, former NBA player Rashad McCants believes that it was a message from a player who likes to manipulate media.

According to McCants, Bron attending a Cavs home game is no homecoming or anything like that. It's a master manipulator making a move.

"You know, when I don't get my way and I don't get the attention, I'm going to where the cameras are. Cleveland's playing? Let's go to the Cleveland game. Now, this is a clear sign for L.A., you don't give me what I want, you know where the hell I'll go. If you don't give me what I want, I'll go - I'm going back home." explained McCants.

Is LeBron threatening the Purple and Gold?

James has one year left in his current Lakers deal. He can opt out of that player option this summer and sign anywhere. As it always has been, the rumor is that LeBron wants a chance at playing with his son Bronny, who is one of the hopefuls for next month's draft.

The Lakers own the 17th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft, but the team may not be willing to use it on young James, who has gone from a potential lottery pick to someone who might not even be drafted. LeBron Jr.'s college career did not go as planned after he suffered a cardiac arrest, which definitely affected his freshman season at USC.

"We know how this is playing out," added McCants. "You're gonna commit to the 17th pick, and I'm going to sign this 2-year deal, and we're gonna make this sh** go. If you do not give me what I want, I will go back home and end my career there."

McCants also had a crazy JJ Redick theory

LeBron threatening the Lakers isn't the first crazy story McCants has come up with since the Purple and Gold were eliminated from the 2024 NBA Playoffs. Previously, he theorized that Bron started a podcast with JJ Redick so he could prepare JJ to be the next Lakers head coach .

"Now he's sitting there, talking X's and O's with JJ.' How would you do this, J?' 'Hey Bron, how would you want this?'Aye, I would do it like this. Bro, they sitting there doing their sh** themselves on TV, right in front of us. He coaching. He coaching JJ to be the coach ( of the Lakers)," explained McCants.

McCants often tells the wildest stories on the Gil's Arena Podcast. Clearly, Rashad thinks that LeBron is too powerful in L.A., and he practically dictates everything that happens and will happen. That's probably not true, but since this is Hollywood, nothing is really impossible.
