Three overnight shootings within an hour

CLEVELAND , Ohio (WJW) – Cleveland police are investigating three overnight shootings that took place within an hour of another.

The first occurred at about 2 a.m. on Monday near Superior Avenue and E. 110 ^th Street.

The victim was found in the middle of Superior Avenue. According to officials, EMS pronounced the victim dead upon arrival at the scene.

The Cuyahoga County Medical Examiner identified the victim as 30-year-old Damian M. Caldwell of Cleveland.

The incident temporarily shut down Superior Avenue between E. 110th and E. 108th Streets while police investigated. There has been no word on a suspect or arrest.

A second shooting took place about 25 minutes later, at about 2:25 a.m., inside a home in the 400 block of Cleveland Road. The 50-year-old victim was transported by EMS. There was no immediate word on their condition or a suspect in the case.

The third shooting took place at about 2:45 a.m. in the 15400 block of Calcutta Avenue.

The 26-year-old victim was found shot in the street and was transported by EMS in serious condition.

It’s not clear if the shootings are connected.

The three incidents took place within about six miles of one another.
