We’ve got regional title games in a couple of locations tonight, plus post season for Illinois College. We start with the IC game this afternoon in the Midwest Conference Tournament. The Blueboys play Ripon, a team that had beaten the IC here at home, but IC defeated on the road. The tip off is slated for 5, and our broadcast on WEAI will start at 4:45.
Rockets Take Down Titans for First Regional Title in 19 Years
The Rochester Rockets defeated the Glenwood Titans 38-34 to take the Regional Title. The win sends the Rockets to their first boys basketball Sectional since they reached the Super-Sectional in 2005. The Rockets play Mt. Zion in Lincoln on Wednesday.

Illinois College has announced its next women’s Head Volleyball Coach. Athletic Director Meghan Roman announced that Claire Scully has been hired for the 2024 season. According to a press release, Scully comes to I.C. After working as an assistant volleyball coach and social media coordinator for the athletic department at Washington College the past two seasons. Prior to joining Washington College, Scully served as an assistant volleyball coach at William Paterson University in 2021, head coach at Mount Saint Dominic Academcy from 2019-2021, Golda OCH Academy, and the Atlantic Valley Volleyball Club.
