At Carthage Central, a sea of flags
CARTHAGE, New York (WWNY) - It has become a tradition at Carthage Central school - a sea of red, white and blue flags covering the front lawn for Memorial Day. Created by the Carthage Teachers Association 10 years ago, big and small American flags are planted in the ground to honor and remember U.S. military personnel who died while serving their country. Middle school teacher Joe Dolson said the district’s students were the inspiration for the display.

B, Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 3:58 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at 132 William St. with second-degree reckless endangerment, a misdemeanor, endangering the welfare of a child, a misdemeanor, and second-degree harassment. Collins is accused of spitting in the face of a 28-year-old woman while a 4-year girl was in close proximity during a domestic incident at about 1:54 p.m. May 11 at 914 Remington St., according to court documents. He also allegedly accelerate a vehicle while the woman was accessing the rear passenger side of the vehicle in an attempt to get her 4-year-old child out of the back seat and ran over the woman’s left foot during the same incident, police said. Collins was held for arraignment in CAP Court.

Jaiden L. Kerr, 21, of 208 S. Indiana Ave., Watertown, was charged by Watertown police at 8:53 p.m. Friday, May 24, at the Metro-Jefferson Public Safety Building with third-degree criminal mischief, a felony, and leaving the scene of a property damage accident. Kerr is accused of operating a 2017 Ram pickup truck in a grassy area behind the Gotham Street overlook and spinning the tires causing $600 worth of damage at about 6:30 p.m. April 18 in Thompson Park, according to court documents. Kerr is summoned to appear June 12 in City Court.
