Bridgeport Police Respond to Motorcycle Accident on Route that Results in One Transported to Hospital
According to WBOY, a two-vehicle accident involving a motorcycle shut down the westbound lanes of U.S. Route 50 Friday night and sent one person to the hospital. According to an official with the Harrison County 911 Center, at around 9:03 p.m., crews were alerted to a vehicle accident with injuries on U.S. Route 50 near the 2nd Street exit in Clarksburg.
Long Vacant Commercial Site Set for New Business as Work Moves Ahead for Near $1 Million Retail Project
A long vacant site that used to be home to a new and used car dealership for decades will soon see a new business open up shop. According to a Harrison County official, the site situated at the intersection of Davisson Run Road and U.S. Route 19 (Milford Street) will soon be home to the second DG Market grocery store in Harrison County.
Potentially Record-Breaking Temperatures to End the Week
BRIDGEPORT, W.Va (WDTV) - This week will end with potentially record-breaking temperatures across the area as highs will reach at least into the mid to upper-80s, if not hitting 90 degrees. If we see highs hitting 90 today or tomorrow it will be a month earlier than our average first 90-degree day here in NCWV. These mild temperatures will come to an end this weekend with rain showers and thunderstorms returning as a cold front crosses bringing with it cooler air, meaning temperatures will drop towards our average highs in the low to mid-70s. Harrison County Commission attempting to buy parking lots
CLARKSBURG, W.Va (WDTV)- The lots that sit on Washington Avenue behind the Harrison Courthouse used to be owned by the city of Clarksburg for years, but currently, they are under the control of a private entity, which charges people to park.
